Miss Barbara Grant has been working at Blue Cross of Jamaica since 1998. She began her Blue Cross of Jamaica career as a sales representative and was two years later promoted to the position of executive agent. In this capacity, she has total responsibility for managing her business portfolios, which includes a veritable who's who in Jamaican companies.

Her portfolio includes Guardian Life, Jamaica Diary Farmers Federation, Irie FM, JUTC, Catherine's Peak, Mailpac, CPTC, Hose Assembly and the Jamaica Public Service Credit Union.

As a worker, she blends a strong brand of professionalism with an engaging personality - a combination which has won her much success and support at all levels.

Her career with Blue Cross of Jamaica has been outstanding one as since her entry in the company, she has established an enviable track record capturing numerous awards. In her first year, she achieved the distinction of being agent of the year. Coupled with that distinction, she also won two other major awards which included the President's Club and the Individual Business awards.

In the year 2000, she was deemed the runner-up in the Individual Business Competition. For two consecutive years, 2001-02 she was runner-up agent of the year. Currently, she is the reigning runner-up agent of the year.

Barbara's contribution to Blue Cross of Jamaica is not limited to her core functions. Despite her significant responsibilities and demanding schedule, she finds time to be an active member of the Blue Cross of Jamaica Staff Association, constantly supporting extra curricular activities such as our church services, fundays, parties and sporting competitions.

Her colleagues and peers view her as an ambitious and focused professional, a go-getter, and an incredibly responsive service professional. It is indeed our privilege to have her as a part of our team.


JOB DESCRIPTION
Introduction and marketing of Blue Cross of Jamaica's products and services to prospective clients, developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships.

Engage in the servicing of all related accounts

Attend internal and external sales development meetings

Counsel and inform clients on health insurance needs and issues

Follow up on all outstanding issues with regards to clients ensuring the resolution of all outstanding matters.

Maintain accurate records of all transactions

Prepare preliminary proposals
