Blue Cross of Jamaica was a sponsor of the recently held Camperdown Classics
held at the National Stadium. Over 200 youngsters from schools all across Jamaica
competed in a variety of athletic events during the daylong meet. Events included
the 100m, 400m, 800m 1500m races, the 4x 400m relays, the 400 hurdles and the
High, Long and Triple Jump races. In photo, Marcia Streete-Hendricks, Blue

An inaugural event, the Camperdown Classics was a major feature of a yearlong
calendar of activities planned to mark the institution’s 75th anniversary.
Other activities for the year include an evening of culture, a health and wellness
fair, a career exposition, football netball competitions, the publication of
an anniversary magazine, a funday, a Christmas candlelight service and an inauguration
service.
