FIRM INSURANCE BROKERS WINS BCJ AWARD

Firm Insurance emerged winners, having generated $4,600,000 in annual premium income, for the period April-June 2005. The Broker of the Quarter Awards Programme aims to recognise excellence, reward and highlight sales achievement.

Firm Insurance Brokers has emerged the top brokerage house in the Blue Cross of Jamaica, Broker of the Quarter Competition. The company achieved this feat by generating a record $4,600,000 in annual premium income, for the period April-June 2005.

Representatives of the company were presented with an award at the BCJ's Quarterly Broker's Luncheon held at the company on August 5. The Broker of the Quarter Awards Programme aims to recognise excellence, reward and highlight sales achievement.

Speaking at the event, President and CEO of Blue Cross of Jamaica, Professor the Hon. Errol Morrison said, as a group the brokers are responsible for generating 40 per cent of the company's sales. This, Professor Morrison said, is a significant contribution to the company's success. He emphasised the role of the brokers in the continued growth and success of the company.

"We know that BCJ's relationship with you will continue to grow. I assure you that Blue Cross of Jamaica is a company poised for transformation. We have learned from the past, and the present is our platform for the future. This year, we plan to continue and complete the projects that will make us strong. I am convinced that we have the management and staff, the enthusiasm, the pride and the skills for the opportunities that lie ahead."

Firm Insurance Brokers was instituted in 1997 and has since distinguished itself in selling employee benefit insurance. The company's mantra is flexibility, integrity and service. The company has a staff complement of 60 persons.
