Blue Cross® Launches Health and Wellness Month

“Prevention Better than Cure” is the theme that Blue Cross of Jamaica has chosen for its fifteenth health and wellness month, to be observed in September. Health and Wellness month was launched on Wednesday 30 August at both the Company’s Hope Road headquarters in Kingston and the Caledonia Mall branch in Mandeville. The launch took the format of open days at which the theme of prevention was established through the provision of tests for blood pressure and blood sugar and cholesterol levels for visitors and staff.

Blue Cross® Awards 27 GSAT Scholarships

Blue Cross of Jamaica held its award ceremony for the GSAT Scholarship Programme in honour of 27 recipients.  With a total value of 1.85 million over five years, awardees were children of private and public sector subscribers as well as Blue Cross staff subscribers.

BCJ Sponsors Camperdown Classics

Blue Cross of Jamaica was a sponsor of the recently held Camperdown Classics held at the National Stadium. Over 200 youngsters from schools all across Jamaica competed in a variety of athletic events during the daylong meet. Events included the 100m, 400m, 800m 1500m races, the 4x 400m relays, the 400 hurdles and the High, Long and Triple Jump races.
