
Blue Cross® continues to demonstrate goof corporate citizenship through our mobile health screening in communities all across the island, as well as through our Annual Labour Day Projects, which involve upgrading hospital facilities, golden age homes and children's homes.
Each Labour Day, staff members have assisted the following organizations over the years:
- Lionel Town Hospital
Refurbish and paint facility - Marigold Children's Home
Paint and repair the facilities
establish vegetable garden - Foundation for International Self-Help
Repair and paint facilities - National Children's Home
On-going programme to visit and care for the residents
Paint facilities - Hargreaves Hospital (Mandeville)

Provide Hospital Directory - Golden Age Home
Paint facilities
Repair furniture
On-going programme to visit and care for residents
Other community-related projects include:
- Collaboration with Junior Doctors' Association in providing health screening / medical checks for basic school children
- Health Education Programme through Health Watch, a weekly television programme aired each Saturday evening, dealing with health issues on Television Jamaica
BCJ also supports the work of the United Way of Jamaica and Food For The Poor through voluntary staff contribution.
