Blue Cross of Jamaica Limited has been providing health-screening services to schools, communities and business places for over 15 years. The Mobile Health Screening Centre is the backbone of the wellness programme. This value-added service offers a variety of health screening tests at a minimal cost. These include:
- Blood Pressure
- Blood Sugar
- Visual Acuity
- Hearing Assessment
- Electrocardiogram (E.C.G.)
- Blood Cholesterol, and
- Height and Weight Checks
Other services include health education through lectures, audio-visual aids and counseling.
Nurses, technicians and a driver, staff the Mobile Health Screening Centre with specialists provided on demand. Abnormal findings are referred to relevant agencies, specialists and facilities for follow-up management.
